BRITS CHOOSE OLD FAVOURITES AS SOUNDTRACK TO SUMMER IN SAGATIBA SURVEY
Bryan Adams’ 1984 hit Summer of ‘69 has been named the UK’s favourite summer song of all time in a survey for Sagatiba, the Brazilian premium cane spirit. Narrowly beating Mungo Jerry’s In the Summertime, legendary hit Summer of ‘69 topped the poll with 22% of the vote, making it the UK’s favourite summer song. However, Northern Ireland bucked the trend with 23% of music lovers preferring Katrina and the Waves Walking on Sunshine as their top tune for summer.
Sagatiba asked credit-crunched Brits what they will be doing to lift their spirits this summer, and the survey revealed that 60% will listen to music to improve their moods. Pop and Brazilian samba were voted the two most uplifting musical genres, taking 60% of the vote, and almost half of those surveyed said a great song defines their summer.
As a result of the research, Sagatiba has developed the unique Sagatiba Spirit Lifters service – a completely free mobile pop up party bringing the music and spirit of Brasil straight to your home or office.
The Sagatiba Spirit Lifters service includes top Brasilian MTV DJ, DJ Limao, a squad of buff Capoiera dancers and Sagatiba’s head mixologist, who will whip up authentic Sagatiba Caipirinhas straight from the portable bar. So even if the sun doesn’t shine, you are guaranteed a taste of the Brasilian party spirit.
